Who We Are
Redeemer Presbyterian Church began worshiping together on September 11, 2011, with a desire to worship in a setting that promotes peace and unity, with a strong emphasis on the authority of God’s written Word and a missional approach to ministry. Our aim has always been to maintain a sense of oneness in Christ by placing obedience to Him first and letting all other concerns fall into their proper place.
We are orthodox and Reformed in our beliefs, following the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Longer and Shorter Catechisms. We are evangelical in our expression and traditional/authentic in our worship style.
We welcome all who wish to worship with us. Each Sunday service lasts about an hour and includes a semi-liturgical order of hymns, songs of praise, prayers, Scripture readings, and a sermon. We value informality that remains “decent and in order.” Children of all ages are welcomed warmly—their presence and even their cries encourage us that the church is alive and thriving.
Our Mission Statement
Our Mission Statement:
As part of the global church of Jesus Christ, Redeemer Presbyterian Church exists to draw people into a life-long transforming relationship with Him by:
- Exalting God thoughtfully and joyfully
- Knowing God intimately
- Serving others wholeheartedly
- Sharing God’s love locally and globally
We Are a Missional Church
Missio Dei—“the mission of God”—means that mission is not primarily something the church does, but something the church is. Mission is not a program the church selects and funds; it permeates the church’s entire life.
A missional church understands that God is a “sending” God, and that His church—participating in His life—is, at its core, a missionary church.
At Redeemer Presbyterian Church, we intentionally reach out to people in our community, our state, our nation, and the world to communicate the life-transforming power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s ambassadors, each follower of Christ who worships here commits to a life that allows the Light of Christ to shine into the heart of every person whose path they cross.
In addition to individual expressions of God’s love and grace, Redeemer Presbyterian Church partners with other churches in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and with parachurch organizations to broaden our Missional reach.
As we undertake each new Missional endeavor, we will present a report on our website.
We invite you to join us in prayer as we seek God’s direction, opportunity, and resources to serve Christ in a wholehearted and intentionally Missional manner.
