Women’s Ministry

When I pick up a tea bag, or box of new tea, I read such captions as, “A Robust Blend with a Captivating Aroma!”

That has me thinking. Isn’t that what our Women’s Ministry should be?

I looked up some definitions and came up with these from my trusty Webster’s:

Robust—having strength or vigorous health: firm in purpose or outlook: strongly formed.

Blend—to prepare by thoroughly intermingling different varieties or grades: to combine into an integrated whole.

Captivating—influencing by some special charm, or trait with an irresistible appeal.

Aroma—a distinctive pervasive and usually pleasant smell.

We at Redeemer Presbyterian Church pray that the women we touch will grow in health, strength, and purpose—intermingling our gifts and personalities to benefit all of us together. We also pray that our witness for Christ will captivate with an irresistible appeal those who need to hear the gospel. As Paul said in 2 Corinthians 2:14 (ESV):

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him [Christ] everywhere.

Consider this week how you, along with your women friends whom God has blended together, can represent Christ providing “A Robust Blend with a Captivating Aroma!”

Stitchers’ Ministry

Our Stitchers Ministry is currently on hiatus. We are waiting for an opportunity to recruit women who can sew in order to continue this ministry that has proven both helpful and useful in the past.

When active, this ministry makes quilts for new babies and prayer shawls or lap robes for individuals going through extended hospitalizations or other difficulties in life.

Women’s Discipleship Group

Reading and Learning Together from God’s Word

God reveals Himself to us through the Bible. Getting to know and understand God through Scripture is a life-long journey.

We at Redeemer Presbyterian Church place a high importance on this journey and understand that, as in most journeys, the way is made easier by traveling together.

The women of RPC have a unique opportunity to meet together for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship, as detailed below.

During the school year, the Women’s Discipleship Group typically meets on specific Thursday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to noon in various homes.

We are currently studying the book, Under the Wings of God: Twenty Biblical Reflections for a Deeper Faith, written by Cornelius Plantinga.

Women interested in joining this group should please contact Laurie LeSuer at church for information regarding the meeting location, the date of the next meeting, and with any other questions, or you may please click here to send her a message via email.
